“It's heartbreaking that every 3 minutes, someone in the U.S. loses a limb to diabetes complications. But the good news is that most of these cases are preventable with the right awareness, care, and support. That's why Tour de Cure: Florida means so much. When we ride together, we're fueling lifesaving research, strengthening local programs for people living with diabetes, and pushing for better advocacy. Your participation today helps turn the tide for tomorrow,” said Kimberly Wade, the ADA’s executive director in the Florida market.

Nationwide, over 40 million people have diabetes, and every 21 seconds, someone new is diagnosed. Approximately 2.3 million adults in Florida, or 10% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes. Every year, an estimated 139,000 adults in Florida are newly diagnosed with diabetes.

By joining Tour de Cure: Florida participants are helping the ADA increase diabetes awareness, provide vital programs, fund lifesaving research, and work toward a cure.

This year’s event will include:

  • A fantastic kids zone
  • Wellness village
  • Live DJ
