Today, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) announced the community organizations selected for its national Master Trainer programs. Each of the three Master Trainer programs—obesity, eye health, and immunizations—focuses on a topic of key importance to people living with diabetes, obesity, or both. Ten community organizations were selected for each program to receive specialized training and education materials to take back to their respective communities. The Master Trainer initiative is expected to connect over 2,500 people in communities across the country with vital health education and resources, helping to create community to clinic linkages.
